This privacy policy (uCare Privacy Policy) does not apply to people in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom. The uCare GDPR Privacy Policy applies to that group.

Except as stated above, this uCare Privacy Policy applies to all personal information collected by uCare, a not-for-profit organization incorporated in the California, USA whose registered office is at 5542 Monterey Rd, STE 150 California, 95138, USA, including without limitation, by way of the uCare website located at

uCare recognizes the importance of people’s privacy, and that people have a right to control how their personal information is collected and used. We know that providing personal information is an act of trust and we take that seriously.


uCare primarily collects the following personal information:

  • Personal details required to open an account on the uCare Programs. This includes name, telephone number, email, position title of the authorized representative, account manager and other contact identified by an account holder for their account.
  • Contact details for communications with volunteers, donors, grantee, stakeholders, partners and other parties relevant to uCare’s activities. This includes the name, telephone number, email, position title of the representatives of these parties that will communicate with uCare.
  • If the account volunteer, donor, grantee, stakeholder, partners and other party is an individual, additional details about that person may be collected such as bank account and physical address and, if applicable, details needed to conduct verification checks such as date of birth or government issued identifier.
  • Details about activity on the Programs such as transaction details which could identify a person.
  • Personal information contained in communications with uCare including via the Website, during face-to-face meetings, email correspondence or telephone conversations. This may also include personal information contained in reports, surveys, questionnaires and forms provided to uCare in order to participate in the uCare Programs or apply to do things such as use our logos.
  • Information collected automatically from a Website visit such as IP address.

In some cases uCare may collect personal information from someone other than the individual concerned (e.g., from the person opening the account holder’s account). If you provide to uCare personal information about another person, uCare is relying on you having addressed all relevant consents, notifications and other requirements to enable uCare to process the personal information for uCare’s purpose of collection.

If uCare is not provided with all requested personal information, uCare may be unable to register an account holder, provide the requested uCare Program services and resources or respond fully to a request.
